Bruno Mars was part of the Amy Winehouse tribute, and the song he sang was “Valerie” — a song that Amy covered that was originally done by The Zutons. Why the hell didn’t they go for one of her originals?

590 KLBJ AM is an all-day conservative talk station. 93.7 KLBJ FM (which is the station that’s being promoted with the cat sign above) is a classic rock station with talk in the mornings and has nothing to do with the “God, Gays, and Guns” billboard.

Yeah, if you’ve been reading marketing messaging at all, it’s pretty clear that they’re just buzzwords. Still, it left a really sour taste in my mouth, because the only reason you’d think gays were controversial is if you’re really into god. and in texas that means you probably have a gun, so it’s not coming out of nowhere. I’m glad there was a backlash and they got the signs...
